Dozens of KWRU members joined Unions, Community Groups, and Septa Riders in Harrisburg on Monday February 14, 2005 to protest to proposed increases in fares and cuts in service to Septa.

The deadline was most recently extended to March 6 when a hearing that was part of a lawsuit the City of Philadelphia had filed against the plan was rescheduled from Feb 16 to Feb. 28.

The KWRU is one of three community groups serving as co-plaintiffs in the lawsuit against SEPTA. If these cuts were to be passed the ability to get to work, the doctor, and/or school would be severely cut. This would be a devastation to our community.
