The Poor Peoples Economic Human Rights Campaign was part of a 200 person international delegation of human rights monitors in Venezuela. They were invited to the Second International Conference in Solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution in Caracas, Venezuela by the Venezuelan Government. The conference was held in observance of the April 2002 failed coup by forces hostile to the elected Venezuelan Government.
