Drug War Reality Tour Online!
The
Kensington Welfare Rights Union (KWRU) is pleased to announce the release
of the Drug War Reality Tour, a NewsVideo by the Sundance Award-winning
Guerilla News Network (GNN). This film is available on the internet at
http://www.gnn.tv/reality_tour/.
The Drug
War Reality Tour started in September 2001 because we wanted to expose
the true impact of drugs in poor communities. KWRU's Director, Cheri Honkala,
explains that "in our country, more people have been killed by heroin
and cocaine than any war or any act of terrorism." We know that people
can only understand the drug war if they can witness its devastation with
their own eyes.
This tour provides documentation
of the widespread Economic Human Rights disaster and the ensuing violations
that are caused by our national drug policy and growing poverty.
If you would like to have a
screening of the film or are interested in taking the Drug
War Reality Tour, please email us at arun@kwru.org.
Let's fight to end these Economic
Human Rights violations, the Drug War, and Poverty!
