Saturday October 3rd was family day for the families of KWRU (Hosted By Blair Hyatt- organizer of childcare for KWRU).

The event foccused on parents being able to share quality time with their children where they would otherwise not be able to do so, due to the daily tasks of trying to maintain the basic necessities of living such as a job at a living wage, food, clothing, housing and healthcare, as well as being at the forefront of a movement to end poverty in the richest country in the world.

Events included... parents and their children being able to share one-to-one games, talks, walks as well as all the families getting together and teaming up to play (kick ball). To close our family day, all of the parents joined in on an important discussion about what it meant to us being poor parents in a movement to end poverty. We are all looking forward to our next Family Day event of KWRU.
