Philadelphia Area Student Committee

The Student Committee of the Kensington Welfare Rights Union meets on a weekly basis to discuss and strategize organizing on the local college and university campus.

Currently we have students organizing on the following campus: University of Pennsylvania, Swarthmore College, Bryn Mawr College, Temple University, and Drexel University. Please contact us about starting a group on your campus.

Currently our meetings are Mondays at 9am at the KWRU office:

This summer we are focusing on organizing local students to attend the "March for Our Lives" on the Opening Day of the Republican National Convention in NYC. Buses will be leaving from Philadelphia on the 30th of August. Sign Up Now!

We are currently in the middle of a housing campaign for local homeless families. We are preparing to set up a tent city. Your help is needed. If you are interested in participating in a food distribution, documentation, or construction please contact us today.
