Dear Friends,

We are sending you this letter because you are one of the people who have demonstrated the understanding of the need for financial resources to help build a movement to end poverty in this country led by the poor.

Without your pledge of support we cannot do the very necessary work that we need to do at this time in history—amidst more devastating cuts in the federal budget, and while there are more and more efforts to criminalize and make the poor of this country invisible.

The obstacles we’re up against are great. Weekly, KWRU houses and feeds homeless people, creates leaders from amongst the poor, challenges caseworkers in welfare offices, and sustains the existing leadership of this movement.

We ask that you please make a pledge this month. It is easy and safe and can be done online or through sending in your donation. Please also consider making a monthly pledge in support of the to day work going on Kensington and around the world.
