Winter Olympics 2002

On February 8, 2002, poor and homeless families joined in a "March for Our Lives" on the opening day of the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. The purpose of the march was to protest economic human rights violations caused by welfare reform. The march was preceded by a week-long teach-in about economic human rights.
