Before we left Los Angeles, we stopped to visit with Wiley Drake at his Church / Homeless Shelter.

The Wiley Drake Show broadcast live Monday through Thursday, from 9 am to 10 am from the church.

Today, Wiley hosted the entire New Freedom Bus Tour on his radio show. Pictured here is Reo English (right) and Margaret and her daughter Miriam- all KWRU members.

Liz Ortiz (left) and Mariluz Gonzalez (right) visit with resident teenage mom (center) on-site at the homeless shelter.

The shelter let the The New Freedom Bus riders go first in line for lunch so that we were able to get on the road in time for the long drive ahead.

Antonio, son of KWRU member Maria Del Moral takes a break from his homework to pose for a picture.

Donelle Boyd & Domonte Dark, a sister and brother riding the Freedom Bus all the way.

The bus leaves California for El Paso, Texas- only a 20 hour journey!

Daily Prayer for the New Freedom Bus Tour

The Rev. Noelle Damico, Catalyst, School of Theology, University of the Poor

Wednesday, November 20

God we thank you for another day today. Another day to hope, to love, to remember, to dare. We thank you for the children who are growing in our midst and for the elders whose wisdom seasons our understanding. We thank you that though the road has been difficult and the pain has been great, that you dear God, have never abandoned us. You have led us this far and we trust you to lead us onward. Faithful One, we offer this day in all its fullness to you and to the world you have created. Amen.
